Hi, I’m Claire — the proud owner of Darling Doodles. In the photo above is my partner, Michael, a hardworking groundworker, and our daughter, Lydia.
 

Our journey began in 2013 when we welcomed our first Labradoodle, Holly. Father Christmas delivered her on Christmas Eve (my daughter will be reading this!). Holly brought light to a difficult time, as we had just lost our Nan to dementia a few days earlier. Focusing on Holly helped ease our grief while keeping Nan’s memory close.
 

As she grew, Holly blossomed into a stunning girl with a loving nature and the most outgoing personality. She was always so gentle around our horses and adored being part of our horsey life. All we had to say was, “We’re popping up to the yard,” and she’d be at the front door, ready to hop into the car.
 

We decided to breed Holly to carry on her incredible temperament, and when her puppies arrived, we fell even more in love with her. She became the most devoted mother. Even now, she still lovingly fusses over the two of her babies who live with us — Alfie (from her first litter) and Maggie (from her last). When it came time for Holly’s final litter, I felt heartbroken knowing it would be the last time I’d be bringing such wonderful, well-rounded puppies into families’ lives — and that’s when Darling Doodles was born.
 

For 20 years, I worked as an accountant for various practices and businesses, but as Holly’s final litter approached, I realised my heart was no longer in accountancy. It was the perfect moment to leave that world behind and pursue what truly brings me joy: surrounding myself with dogs and puppies. And that’s how it all began.
 

Over the years, I’ve built some lovely friendships with our puppy families. I’m always delighted when they stay in touch, share updates, and send stories of the happiness their doodle has brought into their lives. We look forward to welcoming many more families into our Darling Doodles community.
