Welcome to Darling Doodles

At Darling Doodles, our passion is raising exceptional Australian Labradoodles who are not only beautiful, but loving, confident and wonderfully well-adjusted family companions.

We believe an Australian Labradoodle can bring something very special to a home. They are affectionate, sociable and naturally people-oriented, making them wonderful companions for families, couples and individuals alike. Our dogs have a lovely variety of personalities, from calm, gentle and nurturing temperaments to playful, lively and fun-loving characters.

They are also incredibly intelligent and eager to please. We often hear from our families just how surprised they are by the intelligence of their Labradoodle and how quickly they learn when given the right guidance and encouragement.

Raised with Love, in Our Home

We believe the first weeks of a puppy's life play an incredibly important role in shaping the dog they will become.

For this reason, every Darling Doodles puppy is born and raised in our family home. We do not use kennels. Our puppies grow up surrounded by the sights, sounds and experiences of a busy family environment, receiving plenty of love, attention and gentle interaction from the very beginning.

As they grow, our puppies spend time with the other dogs in our household and are gradually introduced to new experiences appropriate for their age. This early socialisation helps build confidence and teaches them how to interact appropriately with both people and other dogs.

Our goal is for every puppy to leave us feeling secure, curious and confident, with the foundations needed to settle happily into their new home.

Health Comes First

The health and wellbeing of our dogs is at the heart of everything we do.

Before a dog is considered for our breeding programme, they undergo thorough health screening. This includes OFA hip and elbow evaluations, regular eye examinations every 18 months with a BVA specialist, and DNA testing to ensure they are clear of relevant hereditary conditions.

Responsible breeding means looking beyond appearance. We carefully consider health, temperament, structure and family suitability when planning each litter, with the aim of giving our puppies the very best possible foundations for a long and happy life.

Preparing Families for Puppy Life

Bringing a puppy home is an incredibly exciting experience, but we also believe in being completely honest with our families about the commitment involved.

The first 12–18 months can be challenging. Even when a puppy has had an excellent start with us, their development and training must continue once they arrive home. Patience, consistency and plenty of positive reinforcement are essential.

House-training, in particular, can take time. Some puppies pick it up quickly, while others need several months of patience and consistency. After all, our own children take years to master it — so expecting a puppy to be perfectly clean overnight simply isn't realistic!

Puppy biting is another completely normal stage of development. Those tiny teeth can certainly feel surprisingly sharp, and the behaviour can be particularly challenging for families with young children. With calm guidance, consistency and time, puppies learn to control their mouths and develop more appropriate ways of interacting.

We want our families to feel prepared for these stages rather than overwhelmed by them. Puppyhood is temporary, and the time, patience and effort you invest during these early months will help shape the wonderful adult dog your puppy becomes.

Starting Training from Day One

We strongly encourage all of our families to begin training as soon as their puppy comes home.

We particularly recommend one-to-one training within your own home. While group puppy classes can be beneficial, they can also be busy and distracting environments for a young puppy. Individual training allows your puppy to remain calm and focused, while giving you dedicated support tailored specifically to your puppy, your home and your lifestyle.

That one-to-one time can be invaluable. It gives you the opportunity to understand your puppy, learn how to communicate effectively with them and establish positive habits from the very beginning.

More Than Just a Puppy

Our responsibility doesn't end when your puppy leaves our home.

We want every Darling Doodles puppy to have the opportunity to grow into a confident, loving and well-mannered companion, and we want our families to feel supported throughout that journey.

Choosing to welcome a puppy into your life is a big commitment, but it is also one of life's greatest joys. Our role is to give each puppy the best possible beginning, and to give each family the knowledge, preparation and support they need to continue that journey.

At Darling Doodles, we don't simply raise puppies — we raise cherished family members, with love at the heart of everything we do.
